  Parents and Supervisors Association

TCSPSA MANIFESTO

The families of the Correspondence School are committed to ensuring that:

1) TCS maintains full effectiveness in its core competency-providing distance education services for fulltime students who can't get to a face-to-face school.

2) The unique expertise of TCS is utilised to add value to the New Zealand education community, supplementary to the school's core competency.

3) All full time students at TCS get a free and equitable education that will allow them to arrive at the same educational outcomes, as students in face to face education.

4) All families of fulltime TCS students have equitable access to advocacy, information and accountability, through independent funding of a parent's organisation that will allow them to achieve parity with families at face to face schools.

5) The interests and concerns of families are effectively represented in any decision made about TCS that have

(or the potential to have) an impact on service delivery to students.

6) The contribution and unique perspective of supervisors is recognised and valued.
